Collision Lab

We have been learning about velocity and acceleration. Mrs. Bulloch worked with Officer Story to create an imaginary wreck in the gym parking lot. We had to get information from Officer Story about the wreck. We then had to measure skid marks for both vehicles, find the direction both were pointing in, and calculate the velocity and acceleration to decide which vehicle was at fault. Officer Story also gave us different scenarios to see that finding fault is not as easy as you think.

What I liked about this lab was that it was hands on. For me, this makes my learning experience so much better! It also makes it easier to remember. Another thing I liked was how we used math to figure out who was at fault for the wreck. It wasn't easy as everyone thought it would be! The challenge was a good thing! The more of a challenge we have, the more we'll learn. The lab was a great learning experience for everyone. I want to do more like it.
