Paper Roller Coasters
The project that we did this last week was very fun and it took a lot of work! We made paper roller coasters to help us learn more about potential and kinetic energy.
It helped us learn potential energy is stored and has the potential to move. It also helped us learn kinetic energy. Its moving energy, like a rolling ball. We were able to see and understand how potential and kinetic energy change from one to another. On our paper roller coaster, at the beginning when the marble was about to roll down the hill was the location of the highest potential energy. When the marble went around the loop, it was at its highest kinetic energy. There were many parts on the project where potential changed to kinetic; and kinetic changed to potential. This was the coolest and most fun project that has been taught in Physical Science so far!!
