Edible Atoms

Today, in Mrs. Bulloch's class, we did a lab called edible atoms. In this lab, we worked with a partner to create a model of compounds and molecules. We used toothpicks, gummy bears, and mini marshmallows to do this. Before starting the lab, I really didn't understand how atoms were put together. After creating our models ourselves, I was able to understand what they looked like so much better! Not only did this lab help me understand, it was also very fun! I liked how we used candy to make compounds and molecules instead of using something boring. I look forward to our next lab, and I hope its as fun as this one was!!
